CARDIOGEN is a tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg) developed by Dr. Vladimir Khavinson at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It is a cardiospecific peptide bioregulator designed to restore and normalize the functional activity of cardiac muscle cells (cardiomyocytes). It penetrates cell nuclei and interacts with chromatin to regulate gene expression in cardiac tissue, acting as a tissue-targeted epigenetic regulator. Clinical research in Russia has demonstrated benefits for ischemic heart disease, arrhythmias, and post-infarction recovery.
How it works
Tetrapeptide that penetrates cardiomyocyte nuclei and binds to chromatin, acting as a tissue-specific epigenetic regulator.
